About Us

Cottage Quilt Designs was started in December 2004 and now reaches quilters through quilt shops, catalogs and e-pattern online sites. Now not only publishing patterns but their first book, Strangled by Wild Geese, authored by Rochelle and Laura Day, will be available in May 2010. Published by Cottage Quilt Press.

Rochelle Martin - the quilt designer - has been quilting and designing for over 22 years. She lives with her husband in mid-Michigan and have two adult children.

Rochelle's designs have been frequently published in quilting magazines, books by House of White Birches and designs patterns for fabric companies. She also has been a teacher at the local quilt shop, Fabric Fair in Bay City, Michigan.

Laura Day-author of Orchid Remembrance and Strangled by Wild Geese-the first story in the Quilted Cat Mystery series. She also has been published in  Cotton Spice and Ruby magazines. Laura has been writing stories since she was a child and is currently working on her next novel.

Laura lives with her husband, Kevin and their two cats in an old 1800's farmhouse which they are restoring in mid-Michigan.
