About Us

Cottage Quilt Designs started as a cottage industry in December 2004, since then we have been serving quilt shops in Michigan. With this web site we can now welcome retail customers as well as quilt shop owners all over the globe to our business.

Rochelle Martin - the quilt designer - has been quilting for over 16 years and has honed her skills through the years by sewing and designing quilts for two Michigan businesses. She has designed and makes quilt tops for the Frankenmuth Woolen Mill. They tie and fill the quilts with their wonderful wool batting.

Rochelle's designs has also been frequently published in the Quilter's World and Cotton spice Magazines. You can also download free patterns Rochelle has designed for Clothworks Textile fabric company out of Seattle, WA. on their website for their fabric collections.

She also makes and designs quilts, publishes patterns, teaches classes, and makes displays for The Fabric Fair in Bay City, Michigan. Some of her current original quilts can be seen hanging in this charming and full line fabric store.
